This is one of my favorite winter recipes! It just snowed here and the temperatures have dropped tremendously. This easy recipe is a warm, hearty meal that fills you up and warms you from the inside.
Ingredients:
3 boneless chicken breasts
4 tbsp of butter
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 cups chicken broth
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp parsley flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
Can of biscuits
How to:
Place the chicken breasts and butter in your crockpot. I used frozen chicken but you can use fresh if you choose to.
Add the cream of chicken and cream of mushroom soups.
Next, add your 2 cups of chicken broth, onion powder, parsley flakes and salt & pepper.
Cook in the crockpot on high for 4 hours.
Take the chicken out and shred it and place back in the crockpot.
When that is complete, cut up the biscuits. (This makes the dumplings)
Then, place the cut up biscuits into the cooked mixture and continue cooking on high for an hour.
When it is done, it will look like this.
Yes, it is delicious! Eat up and enjoy!
