Backyard Garden Tomatoes on the Patio

OK. I do a bit of everything! I’m a mom, wife, full time employee, love to cook,  love to garden, write blogs, operate my own Linen World website and also my own Zindigo Fashion boutique.  And I also make my own candles and wax tart melts. Whew! I am one busy gal but I do enjoy it all.

Let me just tell you about my tomatoes on the patio and something that I have learned.

For starters, they were in a pot until they got too big.

Yes, they do have their own wine bottles filled with water.  I live in Arizona and the air is very dry here. Not to mention, the lack of water. Here’s another thing I learned, water them every other day. I did put 1/4 teaspoon of Miracle Grow for Tomatoes in the 2 gallon watering bucket. They are still doing wonderful.

I just transplanted them into a rolling above ground garden container this past weekend.

Staking them is important when they get big enough. It helps the leaves to get all of the sun that is needed and makes room for the tomatoes.

I am still watering them every other day and am going to try something new soon.  I do have other items growing as well, such as, onions, iceberg lettuce, carrots, squash, cucumbers, cantaloupe  and lavender.  I will post things I have learned about them later.

Until then, enjoy your gardens….big or small! And visit one of my shops and look around. You might find something you like! (Websites are towards the bottom)

Don’t worry, more recipes and fashion will be coming soon.
