Sage & Rosemary Cornish Game Hens

I do consider Easter Sunday a holiday for special food. And for this occasion I made Crockpot Cornish Game Hens.  Sage and Rosemary Cornish Game Hens as a matter of fact!  I do just love cooking these little birds.  They taste like chicken with a little bit of sweetness to them and the aromas filling the house while they cook is phenomenal!  So, I hope you enjoy this recipe.

You will need the following:

2 Cornish Game Hens
1/4 cup Teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tbsp of the following (these seasonings can be adjusted to suit your tastebuds)
Rosemary
Garlic
Poultry seasoning

1 tsp of sage, salt and pepper
1 onion – chopped

I do add a secret ingredient!

1/4 cup white wine

Mix all of your ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

Next, unwrap your thawed Cornish Hens and place them in the crockpot.

I do put cut some slits into them so the juices can flow freely during the cooking process.

Next, pour your bowl of seasonings and juices over the Game Hens..don’t forget to add your chopped onion.

Cook on low, in the crockpot, for 6 to 8 hours.
