Crockpot Lasagna

Who says that you can’t make lasagna in the crockpot?!! Well, you can! I am off from my regular job today and decided to throw together some lasagna for the crockpot. Let me just tell you, it turned out wonderful!  Savory taste and easy to make.  Take a peek at the recipe below:

You will need:

1 crockpot
Ricotta cheese (8 oz)
Mozzarella or Monterey Jack shredded cheese (12 oz)
1 box of oven ready Lasagna macaroni
1 jar of tomato or pasta sauce (8 oz) (I used pre made parmesan Romano sauce)
1 lb of ground beef
1 onion chopped

How to do it:
Ground the beef in a deep sauce pan and drain.

Next, mix in your chopped onion and sauce.  Let simmer for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, mix together the ricotta cheese and half of your shredded cheese package.

Place some of the simmered ground beef sauce mixture in the bottom of the crockpot.

Place your lasagna macaroni on top.

Next layer with the ricotta cheese mixture.

Continue layering until all of the ingredients are used.

Place lid on top of crockpot and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours.  If you are going to work turn the crockpot to warm.

Now we wait….
