Before I even had my wonderful cup of coffee this morning, I am drinking it as I’m doing this blog, I put a load of laundry in the wash, dressed and fed the kids and cleaned the kitchen. I also watered my container garden. The plants are doing so well and are so very happy! I do like gardening since it helps relieve stress and you get food to feed yourself or your entire family! That’s a win win right??!
Now, onto what I’m exactly doing to keep everything growing. I live in Arizona and there’s not a lot of rain in this part of the world. Therefore, I water every 2 days with Miracle Grow. I do use a watering bucket for this task so I put in the least amount as I possibly can. Every other week, once a week, I put in 1 tbsp of Epsom Salt in the bucket. Even if I have to refill, I put the same amounts in.
So far, everything is doing great! Monsoon season will be a wonderful thing. More rain = less watering by hand. The kids like to help though!
I can’t wait to see what they do when it comes harvest time.
This idea also works well I’m told. Feel free to use it!
Here are some current pictures of my container gardens.
Cucumbers
Zucchini
Watermelon and cantaloupe
Tomatoes on the left, crooked neck summer squash on the right along with some cucumbers and onions hidden in there.
Here is a close up of my tomato plants. Do you see what I see there? Yes, actual little tomatoes are forming. So excited!!!!
I need everyone’s help on this one. I planted these and the package said iceberg lettuce. Is that really what it is?? I just think it looks….off….
And finally my new babies…
The one in the black pot is a Yellow cherry tomato plant the other one is a Solar fire tomato plant. Both doing well.
