Most of my readers know that I post about my family, recipes and my garden. This blog is about the squash and potatoes blooming in the container garden. Yes, I am super excited and overjoyed about this growth spurt of my green babies. It makes me happy knowing that I am providing home grown food for my family. I am going to give some tips and tricks about why these plants are growing so well for me.
First of all here is the squash. Note: I do have it in an above ground container garden.
Yes, the squash has blooms on it! I have been watering the plant(s) every 2 to 3 days with 1 tablespoon of Epsom Salt added every 2 weeks and miracle grow (the dosage for inside plants) twice a week. It all seems to be working in my favor so far.
Here are the potato blooms in the mesh bag.
I am doing the same scenario as above for my potatoes. Except I give them a lot more water. I also added more dirt to them today.
In other news, the rest of my plants also got watered and their containers got rotated today.
There will be some recipes as soon as the harvest comes in. Fresh food from the garden just makes everything better!
